Carriage bolt for strap hinge, with nut and washer included 🙂
Why it’s ideal for a strap hinge
The round head remains outside.
It is smooth and domed.
It cannot be unscrewed from the outside.
This helps prevent the strap hinge from being removed.
And therefore the shutter 😉
How it secures
TRCC stands for: Round Head Square Neck.
The small square neck locks into the strap hinge.
The bolt won’t spin.
The nut tightens from the inside.
This is the proper installation.
It’s the classic, long-standing system.
Which Length to Choose
Thin shutters 28 to 32 mm: M6x40.
Thick shutters 36 to 44 mm: M6x50.
Stainless Steel A4 (316L)
Ideal for coastal or pool use.
Won’t rust in saline environments 😉
